An independent Catholic school for young women in grades 7-12, Ursuline Academy fosters respect, compassion, intellectual curiosity, and a commitment to service. Inspired by the legacy of Saint Angela Merici, our students grow to be women of integrity who engage in their communities with purpose and presence.
We live with faith, courage, and joy.
Ursuline Academy is located on a wooded, 28-acre campus in Dedham, MA, just minutes from Boston and Rte. 128. Our comprehensive curriculum ensures that students will emerge as strong writers, persuasive speakers, and analytical thinkers; most courses offered are at the honors level or above.
A hallmark of an Ursuline Academy graduate is her preparation for higher education. Ursuline students learn how to manage their time, interact with faculty, advocate for themselves, and utilize the resources available to them. An intentional engagement with college preparation is also supported by the School Counseling Department, which has scheduled class time with each grade level along with one-on-one opportunities.
Teachers at Ursuline are more than instructors; they are mentors, coaches and club moderators invested in students' growth as scholars and young women. They are committed to developing the whole person and to providing a well-rounded education for each student.
Steeped in an environment of encouragement and faith, Ursuline students emerge as women of integrity who engage in their communities with purpose and presence. With approximately 380 students, Ursuline is large enough to challenge students, yet small enough to know them.

Student performance data displayed below is from Next Generation MCAS results. For more data on schools, please visit the Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education (DESE) website. For schools with multiple campuses, the data below represents all schools in that network, not just the single school. If data is not shown, it is not available for that school.
IMPORTANT NOTE: DESE did not issue school, district, or state accountability determinations for the 2019-2020 school year due to the cancellation of state assessments and school closures related to COVID-19. As a result, there is no student performance data available from the state for school year 2019-2020.
