About the School

We provide an outstanding, transformative education to prepare students for success in college, further education and beyond. We do this by educating the whole student: mind, body, and character. With the city and world as our classroom, we build a school community rich in rigorous academics and daily experiences of discovery. Our students engage in a rigorous curriculum based on EL Education's philosophy and pedagogy. Our extended day program allows us to offer advanced coursework, small-group academic support, ELL services, mental health counseling, physical/nutrition education, and college and career advising. A variety of elective courses are also offered on Saturdays to introduce high school students to new content to develop their interests, skills and knowledge. Alumni have graduated from 40 College and Career programs including Boston College, Bowdoin College, Brandeis University, College of the Holy Cross, Denison University, Drake University, Hamilton College, Northeastern University, Mount Holyoke College, Temple University, University of Massachusetts Amherst, Union College and the University of Virginia.

School Performance

Student performance data displayed below is from Next Generation MCAS results. For more data on schools, please visit the Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education (DESE) website. For schools with multiple campuses, the data below represents all schools in that network, not just the single school, unless otherwise noted. If data is not shown, it is not available for that school (e.g. the school might not serve any tested grades, or be too small to publicly release its scores).

IMPORTANT NOTE: DESE did not issue school, district, or state accountability determinations for the 2019-2020 school year due to the cancellation of state assessments and school closures related to COVID-19. As a result, there is no student performance data available from the state for school year 2019-2020.
