About the School

Boston Collegiate Charter School (BCCS) is a fifth-12th grade college preparatory public charter school. The school is the highest performing non-selective public option in Boston according to Advanced Placement scores and has been ranked by US News & World Report as the best charter high school in Boston. BCCS is focused on great teaching, adhering to the core believe that without great teachers, nothing else matters. A hallmark of the school is its diversity: students hail from every corner of Boston and the diversity of the school in terms of race, ethnicity, and socio-economic status reflects the diversity of our City. We strive to be a school that supports all students and where each student is deeply known. We plan field trips to promote student bonding at the start of the year and to compliment our academic programs throughout the year. We also offer social events such as dances, dress up days, honor roll breakfasts and other culture building events. Students use laptops when necessary. We have a variety of ways for families to communicate with and contribute to the school. We have a Family Diversity Advisory Group, Student Support Family Advisory Group and Family Association

School Performance

Student performance data displayed below is from Next Generation MCAS results. For more data on schools, please visit the Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education (DESE) website. For schools with multiple campuses, the data below represents all schools in that network, not just the single school, unless otherwise noted. If data is not shown, it is not available for that school (e.g. the school might not serve any tested grades, or be too small to publicly release its scores).

IMPORTANT NOTE: DESE did not issue school, district, or state accountability determinations for the 2019-2020 school year due to the cancellation of state assessments and school closures related to COVID-19. As a result, there is no student performance data available from the state for school year 2019-2020.
